ALESSANDRA BALDERESCHI

Dopo una formazione artistica, nel 2000 consegue il master in Industrial Design alla Domus Academy. Nel 2001 ottiene una residenza-studio in Giappone dove sviluppa progetti per la tavola in ceramica con aziende del distretto di Gifu. Al rientro in Italia inizia a collaborare con aziende quali Swatch Bijoux , Fabbian Illuminazione, Moss NY, Dilmos, De Vecchi, Chimento, Coin Casa Design, , Skitsck e altri marchi, spaziando da progetti di bigiotteria e moda a quelli d’illuminazione e arredo. Ha partecipato a varie edizioni del Salone Satellite di Milano nel 2002, 2003 e 2004. La sua serie sperimentale Bosco, sedute e tappeti realizzati con foglie e muschi naturali, appartiene alla collezione Dilmos Edizioni. Tra le sue esposizioni: la Biennale di Saint Etienne, Inside Amsterdam, il Design Festival di Seoul e la galleria di Moss a New York. Nel 2007 è stata selezionata la poltrona “Soufflè” per “Milano Made in Design” a Pechino e Shangai e nel 2009 Li Edelkoort sceglie “Le piantine” per la mostra GLASS al museo DesignHuis di Eindhoven. Nel 2010 è nominata tra i dieci migliori designer della nuova generazione da Ad Spagna. Attualmente lo Studio di Alessandra lavora per diversi marchi del settore design.

After training in Art School, Alessandra Baldereschi gained a master’s degree in Industrial Design at Domus Academy. In 2001 she was granted a residency to study in Japan where she developed projects for ceramic tableware with companies based in the district of Gifu. When she returned to Italy, she started working with numerous companies, including Swatch Bijoux , Fabbian Illuminazione, Moss NY, Dilmos, De Vecchi, Chimento, Coin Casa Design, Skitsch and other brand. Her projects for these companies range from fashion jewellery and fashion to lighting and furniture. She participated in the 2002, 2003 and 2004 editions of the Milan Salone Satellite. Her experimental collection entitled Bosco and including seating and carpets made with natural leaves and moss is part of the Dilmos Edizioni collection. She has exhibited, amongst others, at the Biennial of Saint Etienne, Inside Amsterdam, the Seoul Design Festival and Moss Gallery in New York. In 2007 her “Soufflè” armchair was chosen for “Milano Made in Design” in Beijing and Shanghai. In 2009 her “Le piantine” were selected for the GLASS exhibition at the DesignHuis museum in Eindhoven curated by Li Edelkoort. In 2010 she was named one of the ten best new generation designers by Ad Spain. Currently, Alessandra’s Studio working for various brands in the design industry.
